“It's 1967, Kingston Town, Jamaica.
At Studio One the Sound Dimensions are performing Drum Song Riddim at their best. Sir Coxsone already knows that it’ll be a special day and switches on the tape recorder.
At the very same time right outside of the studio, Nasir Jones, also known as NAS, is passing by with his “bravehearts”. He's attracted by the sound and jumps in, catches the mic and starts spitting his best rhymes: “Now let's get it all in perspective, For all y'all enjoyment, a song y'all can step with“.
It's magic.
At the start of the second verse, the keyboard player Jackie Mittoo stops the band, and after a few seconds of acappella, he drops the key signature sound that will make Real Rock Riddim known all over the world.”
